8TH MARCH, INTERNATIONAL WOMEN´S DAY

From 1945 every 8th March is the International Women´s Day, although the antecedents date back to the XIX century. In 1866, the participation of women in professional work was approved, and since then the movement has had a double aim: getting full social rights and enjoying them on equal conditions.
This year demands are mainly focused on opposing war and gender violence, this usually happening in the victim´s family environment.
For women with disabilities, the discrimination is bigger, as they below to a usually discriminated social group.

Lack of training and socialisation, and aesthetic prejudices are their main obstacles to access a decent and fair job.
